What can I expect if I attend?
-An international parade going through Downtown Elgin that will kick off the event at 11:00 am. The parade will feature floats, music, dancers and will culminate with a grand entrance into Festival Park
-International Cuisine
-A Kidz Zone filled with “edu-tainment” activities for youth and families
-A World Bazaar
-Live Entertainment
-Much much more!

Is there available parking?
Parking is free in Elgin. There are over 2,000 parking spots with time limits from 15 minutes to 10 hours. There are several parking garages conveniently located in Downtown Elgin. Additionally, Fulton Street Deck is kitty-corner from iFest (you may enter at Fulton St. just west of Villa St.)

Will it be handicap accessible including parking?
Yes. iFest organizers are doing our utmost to insure the festival is barrier free.

Will there be a place to park my bicycle?
Yes. There are bike racks located at the entrance to Festival Park. The bike racks won’ t be monitored. It will be your responsibility to secure your bicycle.

Will there be special motorcycle parking?
No.

What if it rains?
Bring an umbrella. Information on a rain date will be available in the near future.

Are there any fees?
There are no entrance fees

May I bring my dog?
Unfortunately you’ll have to leave your furry friend(s) at home.

May I bring a lawn chair?
Yes, lawn chairs are permitted but coolers are not.

Is photography/videography allowed?
Yes.

May I bring my own food and beverages?
You will not be able to bring in your own food and drink. Fortunately, there will be a wide variety of food and flavors available throughout the day. You can try tastes of food from various cultures.

Is there a way to make a financial donation?
Yes. Financial contributions are welcome and will be used in support on future International Festivals. Contributions may be sent to the City of Elgin, Attn: iFest, 150 Dexter Court, Elgin, IL 60120. Be sure to include your contact information. We want to say “thank you” to all of our supporters. Note: Your financial contribution is NOT tax deductible.
